Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Cogni ("we", "us") collects when you use the Cogni app and website (getcogni.app), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Cogni you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account information — your email address, and the authentication provider you use (email, Google, or Apple). If you sign in with Apple's "Hide My Email", we only receive a private relay address.
- Training data — the exercises and assessments you complete, your scores (including cognitive-assessment results), settings, streaks, and coins. This is how the app shows your progress.
- Profile details you provide — an optional display name and avatar image.
- Device & technical data — basic information such as app version and device type, and logs needed to operate and secure the service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third‑party advertising or cross‑app tracking.
How we use your information
- To create and secure your account and sign you in.
- To save your progress and sync it across your devices.
- To show your results, trends, and cognitive profile.
- To process payments for paid plans (on the web) and manage your subscription status.
- To respond to support requests and, where you've opted in, to send you product updates.
- To detect, prevent, and address abuse, fraud, and technical issues.
Service providers
We share limited data only with providers who help us run Cogni, under agreements that require them to protect it:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and cloud sync (stores your account and training data).
- Stripe — payment processing for paid plans. We never receive or store your full card details.
- Hosting/CDN — to serve the app securely.
- Email delivery — to send account and, if you opt in, product emails.
Cognitive assessments are not medical advice
Cogni's IQ test, "cognition health", and related scores are estimates for personal tracking and self‑improvement only. They are not a medical device, not a clinical diagnosis, and not medical advice. Do not rely on them for any health decision.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your account and associated training data from our systems within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal, tax, or fraud‑prevention obligations.
Your choices & rights
- Delete your account — you can permanently delete your account and data from inside the app (Settings → Account → Delete account), or by emailing us.
- Access & correction — you can view and update your profile in the app, or contact us to request a copy or correction of your data.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (e.g., under GDPR or CCPA). Contact us to exercise them.
Children
Cogni is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.
Security
We use industry‑standard measures, including encryption in transit and row‑level access controls, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, an in‑app notice.
